The NERDS

We were founded in a log cabin deep in the heart of the Arizona rainforests. In the year 1726, the sun and the moon mated and our organization was born. Based off of the teachings of the ancient Greek philosopher Demetrocles, we spend our time making robots. The NERDS invented the Tinkertoy and the Flaming Wheel which evolved over 10000 years into the Hot Wheel car. The Hot Wheel was sent back in time by our great grandchildren. An early member was Al Gore, the man who invented the Internet, the first emperor of the other moon, and proved everyone wrong about global warming.

In reality, our club was founded in 2005 by Mr. Tom Heller at Buena High School. Our first year, we went to the international competition in Atlanta, Georgia. Since then our team has returned to Atlanta twice, once again for FRC and once for Vex, and competed in 2 regionals every year. In the 2009-2010 year, we competed in the game Breakaway with our robot Hank. For more information about the team, competitions, and robots, feel free to check out the rest of the website.
