Season Robot Overview

The 2005-2006 Season was the rookie season for Team 1726.  With almost no experience and a lot to learn, the N.E.R.D.S. endeavored in the challenges set before them.  This season, the team created just one significant robot.  However, its showing in competition would definitely earn the N.E.R.D.S. a reputation for having an impressive rookie year.

 

This Season's Robots

Team 1726 created just one robot this season.  As it was the team's rookie year, they faced the most difficult challenge of starting and managing a team while at the same time attempting to build a quality competition machine.

 

2006 FIRST Robotics Competition Robot: Megamaid

Even though this robot had its humble beginnings, the Megamaid helped the team achieve one of the toughest goals imaginable: winning a regional competition.  Built for the 2006 FIRST Robotics Competition, Aim High, the Megamaid had the distinguishing quality of being a top-notch low goal scorer.  This trait alone was enough to put her at the top of her class.  Read more about it here.
