News - 2008 FRC Kickoff

As almost everyone has heard, the new FIRST Robotics Competition game is here! You can learn about the new challenge, "Overdrive", here! Also, a game animation is available on NASA's website here. Several members attended the local Phoenix webcast event before heading back and meeting on Fort with the rest of the team to check out the Kit of Parts and discuss a general timeline for this year's build season. Also, a parent meeting took place at 6:00 tonight in which parents were informed of the upcoming build and competition. Dinner plans were also arranged at the meeting.

As the season progresses, more and more content will be added to the new website, and eventually this old one will be scrapped! We'll make sure to inform you all when this happens.

Also, our animator for the team, Alex Topping, created a safety animation for this year's Safety Animation contest, and guess what? We won! The animation will be displayed at every FRC regional this season, as well as the Championship competition! This international competition is a great way to help insure a safe build season this year for all teams. You can see our animation here!
